On 19 August 2022, Friday, The Journey of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Development and Commercialisation: From Research to Market Event was successfully organized by Invest Hong Kong and supported by Hong Kong Science Park Corporation (HKSTP) and Semiconductor Nanotechnology Alliance (SNA). In the event, Pagoda Capital shared its investment example on Simbury towards innovative technology value creation and unicorn cultivation.

The event aims at exchanging perspectives on how innovative technologies to be created and commercialised by building a healthy ecosystem in Hong Kong. The experts from government, newly established research centres, HKSTP, law firms as well as investment institutions shared their valuable experiences and insights on forging Hong Kong to be an international innovation and technology (I&T) hub.

From the investment sector, James Ieong, Chairman and Founding Partner, Pagoda Capital, shared on how venture capital unlocks hidden value of Hong Kong. It has rapid business growth on joint project development with key clients which ensures the revenue stream and defines advanced System on Chip (SoC) product creating differentiation among its rivals. The most excited element is Simbury in Hong Kong and we expect more deep tech companies born here.”

With proprietary neural network algorithm able to generate detailed depth field, intelligent occlusion point repair and eye tracking, etc. to make realistic sense of presence,” said Dr. Ryan Chung, CEO, Simbury. “We are building a customer pipeline that represents the leading suppliers, from consumer electronics devices to automobiles and most everything in between.”
