Department of Electronic Engineering of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) re-designates Dr. YK Li, our Chief Technology Officer as Advisory Committee Member. Dr. Li has served his first 3-year term for the Committee, the re-designation of another term enables Simbury to continually contribute our advice and guidance on academic and professional development of the Department.
Having over 30 years of management experience in multinational and regional operations in the Integrated Circuit (IC) design industry, Dr. Li held important technical positions in several IC design companies and research institute across the Pacific Ocean before he founded Simbury. “It is an honour for me to continuously provide a semiconductor industry insight to the Department and pleasure to work with other committee members,” Dr. Li said, “Since Prof. Charles Kao, Nobel Prize laureate appointed as the first Chairman of the Department of Electronics Engineering 50 years ago, the Department has nurtured thousands of talents and entrepreneurs contributing their knowledge to the world. I would like to congratulate the Department is ranked 23rd in Electrical and Electronic Engineering fields among Best Universities.”
Dr. Li graduated from ParisTech with an EDBA. Additionally, he earned a Master’s degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering from the University of Iowa and an MBA from the University of San Diego in the United States. He holds a Massachusetts Institute of Technology Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership and is a Visiting Professor of Peking University. Actively advocating the importance of innovation technology in Hong Kong, he is also a Member of Enterprise Support Scheme Funding Panel Committee of Innovation and Technology Commission of HKSAR, Fellow of The Hong Kong Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology and Co-chair of Industry and Entrepreneurship of Semiconductor Nanotechnology Alliance.
