At this year’s Computex, Simbury is set to showcase a range of groundbreaking capabilities based on Simbury UWB wireless technology, including:

Peer-to-peer ranging: The UWB technology is a wireless positioning technology based on IEEE 802.15. 4z standard, which enables Time-of-flight (TOF) calculations between two UWB devices and allows for point-to-point (P2P) Two-Way Ranging (TWR) between two UWB radios.  With our innovative algorithm for positioning between mobile device and UWB tag, one anchor with multiple tags, and multiple anchors with multiple tags, a centimeter-level positioning accuracy is achievable with low latency and high-power efficiency for multiple designated user scenario such as location-aware, site safety, and digital key.

 Untracked Indoor Navigation: A powerful new solution that goes beyond the limitations of existing indoor navigation techniques in accuracy, scalability, and privacy. With our navigation system, location of the user device is determined by the user device itself. This intrinsically protects the user’s location information from being exposed or being tracked. This also prevents malicious usage from attackers and protects the user’s privacy from being compromised. To enable untracked navigation, UWB anchors could be simply installed at planned locations, without further need to be connected using a wired network, making the installation simple and cost effective.

Hi-Res Lossless Wireless Audio: Lossless sound experience with Simbury UWB Audio technology, which provides high data throughput with extremely low latency while using very little power, will enable uncompressed audio transmission which is superior to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for some audio applications.
